    Breakfast of Champions is one of the best books ever written, and Kilgore Trout is the greatest fictional fiction writer ever. EVER. That movie they made was a piece of festering shit. Don't see it.
    In the scene shown here, Kilgore is trying to get to an arts festival in his honor, carrying his comprehensive published works (all of which are in porno mags). He's trying to save time and crosses a local creek that is heavily polluted. The pollution clings to his feet like shoes, and he continues to wear them the rest of the novel.
